Our homeschooling community in the Greater Houston area has a lot of amazing family businesses as well as “Mompreneurs”! My goal with our group is to create a place where we as homeschoolers can go to find a fellow homeschool family that may be able to fill a service or product need that we have. We have grown into a thriving Facebook community of over 1,000 families who either own their own business, or are there to support those that do. We have been working towards the goal of an Expo for these amazing homeschool families, and we are so excited to finally come together and make this happen!
Join the Homeschool Entrepreneurs Group of the Greater Houston on Friday, May 26th, from 10:0 a. m. to 4:00 p. m. for a day of celebrating the essence of homeschooling. doing things on our own and doing them our way! Our group has a wide variety of vendors to choose from….. homeschool classes, health and wellness. real estate, unique furniture, bakers, crafters, photographers…. you name it and we most likely have it! You are not only supporting those in your homeschooling community, but you are part of the “Shop small, shop local!” movement that keeps small businesses around.
Imagine having a whole Expo full of homechoolers that can not only help you with your shopping and service needs, but also share with you how we do it all! Showing you and your children how it’s possible to make a business and homeschool run smoothly! All businesses represented at this FREE event will be giving away door prizes, as well as a Grand Prize of a $250 AMEX Gift Card which can be used anywhere! Come join in the fun, win some goodies, and support your community!
This homeschool Expo is just the sort of event homeschool families need. I’ve found that over the years the other homeschool conferences have gotten so big and expensive that they have pushed the small family businesses out (which in the beginning was all those conferences were made up of!) We need more of these! As “retired” homeschoolers, we are grateful to still have a community of like-minded families with whom to network! We love the encouragement to be entrepreneurs, and enjoy the opportunity to get to know other, mostly younger, homeschool families who are working hard to provide for the way of life they have chosen.
